The International
School of Storytelling

Next Steps

So you've started out to become a storyteller but what are your next steps? This will be a week to take your storytelling to another level, an opportunity to receive feedback on how you are doing, and the territory ahead. First the grit, then the glory.

A storyteller can be highly skilled in many areas but lacking in others. We all have missing bits: identifying and working on them is an essential part of the storyteller's art.

It may be that your story needs attention to areas of the craft: structure, dynamic, range of voice, character, registers, or silence to name a few; some tellers need to work on their connection to the story itself, others their listeners. Deeper still are things that have to do with presence and vulnerability.

This workshop will help you to explore who you are as a storyteller and some places you've never been. It will feature some powerful slices of individual coaching in a warm atmosphere, challenging, and supportive.

As a part of the course, previous public storytelling skills or Begin It Now! are required.

Places on this course are limited to 12 participants so book early to avoid disappointment.
