The Storyteller´s Embodied Voice
A foundational, research based training
with Olivia Olsen & Karmit EvenZur
Monday 22nd Feb - Friday 5th March 2027
Peredur Centre, East Grinstead, UK
Course times:
9.00am to 4.00pm

What stories do you feel called to tell?
What do you want to say?
Often, it begins as a sense rather than a sentence.
We are all carriers of sleeping stories, dreaming stories, and stories already awakened,
searching for their voice. Through imagination practices, we begin to listen to what is
already there; stories held in the body, in memory, in sensation, in silence.
In this two week immersion, we will explore your love and need to bring both traditional and biographical stories to life. The course focuses on expanding your vocal range and "unearthing" story fragments, mulling or wrestling with the longing or chaos of a story, or shining light on a story on the brink of words.
Your voice is the transmitter of your stories, powered by the movement of your body. Even in silence, your physical presence communicates emotion and thought; when your breathing is free, your storytelling becomes impactful and true. Awakening the body is a foundation from which we move into freeing the voice, liberating your breath to access the full range and nuance of language that supports your storied self with range, grace and agility.
This is a foundational, research and training based course. It focuses on process, offering
space to explore multiple story fragments, as well as characters and moods, in order to
expand your vocal range of expression.
